An obviously important question, but one that can’t be answered without details of your logo design project. Your company is different from every other, so it makes sense to tailor a quote to your individual needs.
Comparing the design industry to any other is by no means exact, but the, “How much for a logo?” question is kind of like asking an estate agent, “How much for a house?
I recommend you corporate logos who are well reputed in this regard.

It really depends on what is involved in the design. Consider that a good designer is going to spend a lot of time developing a logo that works for your company. You should have several meetings with the designer, so the designer can talk with you to get a feel for what you are looking for. The designer will write up a brief for your design, do development sketches and comps, go through at least a couple of reviews with you. The designer has to be aware of other similar designs that may be out there, so he or she can develop something for you that is unique.
At a minimum, a good designer is probably going to charge you a few hundred dollars if you truly want something unique that meets your needs to help you get your company recognized.
