How would you change your hair color in gimp? I’ve seen tons of people do it in photoshop, but none in gimp. Any Ideas?

open picture, duplicate layer or make new layer, select with lasso tool around hair region, fill with color, adjust layer transparency and change overlay option,http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=…
