How Do I Convert An Image I Make On Gimp 2 To A Jpg File?

I just made some stuff and I want to figure out how to convert them. Can i use another program or do it on Gimp?

    When you go to save the image hit “save as” and choose to save it as a jpg.

    No you don’t. You don’t need to use any other programs cuz gimp has complete stuff and it’s really easy to do that!.
    Now all you gotta do is, go to files-save as(once you do that) a new window will pop up, before you save your file as x…! Select from the list in which file type you would like to save it by clicking the + sign(on the lower side of the window!)
    Then choose jpg…e.t.c, and your file will be saved automatically
