		<description>Try inkscape.  I never tried tracing over an object, but it is nice for laying out text and drawing a simple logo.  Though I don't know much about art and graphics, it didn't take me long to get started.
To trace an image such as a tree, I suggest 'importing' it into Inkscape in a separate layer, and when you are finished, hide that layer.
It doesn't cost anything, so if you don't like it all you lose is your time.http://www.inkscape.org/</description>
